Hormonal Therapy

This treatment links hormones and breast cancer. Hormonal therapy can be given before, during or after any treatment options for breast cancer. Its usually used for early stage hormone, receptor, positive breast cancer so it can stop the risk of any cancer that might show up after surgery, for advanced stage breast cancer and for hormone, receptor, positive, who hasn’t yet been diagnosed with breast cancer but are at but are at high risk to get breast cancer.

We all know that estrogen is one of the most important hormone in females but, it’s also the main source of food for breast cancer cells. In this treatment, doctors tend to use Anti-Estrogen to the patient so it can starve the tumor cell resulting in its death. There are a few Therapies to this treatment: chemical ovarian suppression, Aromatase inhibitor, estrogen receptor blocker and Oopherectomy.
